{"id":1352,"date":"2015-06-26T14:17:48","date_gmt":"2015-06-26T05:17:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nagasakilab.csml.org\/en\/?p=1352"},"modified":"2015-07-17T10:25:49","modified_gmt":"2015-07-17T01:25:49","slug":"japonica-array-improved-genotype-imputation-by-designing-a-population-specific-snp-array-with-1070-japanese-individuals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagasakilab.csml.org\/en\/archives\/1352","title":{"rendered":"Japonica Array: Improved genotype imputation by designing a population-specific SNP array with 1,070 Japanese individuals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A research group at Tohoku Medical Megabank Organization (ToMMo) has successfully developed the Japonica Array<sup>TM<\/sup>\u00a0which is the first ever SNP array optimized for Japanese population.<br \/>\nThe aim of development of Japonica Array<sup>TM<\/sup>\u00a0is not only to facilitate the prospective genomic cohort study conducted by ToMMo but also to make a contribution to the genomic medicine studies in Japan.<\/p>\n<p>The array contains 659,253 SNPs, including tag SNPs for imputation, SNPs of Y chromosome and mitochondria, and SNPs related to previously reported genome-wide association studies and pharmacogenomics.
