Our laboratory is recruiting!

Position:Program-Specific Researcher (Fixed-term employment)

Job description:
At the Biomedical Information Analysis laboratory, our research focuses on the analysis of multifactorial genetic diseases (diabetes, hepatitis B, cancer, etc.) through the development of next-generation disease analysis models and related statistical/bioinformatics tools. We are therefore recruiting researchers in the following fields:

  1. Research on genetic and omics information analysis technology, in close collaboration with clinical researchers, for the analysis of rare genetic disorders, genetic factors in multifactorial diseases, onset mechanisms, and comprehensive individual risk assessment.
  2. Research contributing to the topic above by improving our understanding of and analyzing the various types of data generated by domestic/overseas genome cohorts and hospitals, such as large-scale human genome information, omics information, cohort information, and clinical information.
  3. Research contributing to the topics above through the active adoption of new bioinformatics tools developed in Japan as well as overseas for the evaluation and improvement of the human sequence information, including recent genome sequencing equipment such as 3rd generation sequencers and ultra-long chain sequencers.
  4. Research contributing to genome science and related to the topics above through the development and implementation on super-computer systems of machine learning, deep learning, and similar technologies for the analysis of large-scale genomic data.
  5. Other research related to the fields above.
